A combination of factories in the Staffordshire were combined to form R.H. & S.L. Plant (Ltd.) in 1898. Marks quickly incorporated the term “Tuscan” and, since approximately 1936, the factory used “Tuscan” in all of its marks. Popular Tuscan patterns were Tuscan Golden Lace, Tuscan Golden Regency and, particularly, Tuscan Sunshine.
