Originally established in the early 1800s in Staffordshire by Job and George Ridgway, other factories were subsequently established by Jobs sons, John and William. Subsequent factories under various Ridgway names continued through the 20th Century, and the Ridgway Potteries group in the 1950s included among its many factories Booths, Colcloughs and the Adderley Floral China Works. Popular Ridgway patterns included Ridgway Coaching Days, Ridgway Country Days, Ridgway Heritage, Ridgway Historic Castles and Ridgway Meadowsweet.
