Hugh Irvins first established Star China Company in 1897 in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, becoming the Paragon China (Co.) Ltd., 1920. In 1960, it was taken over T.C. Wild & Sons Ltd., which was subsequently absorbed by Royal Albert, which continues some of the original Paragon patterns as “Paragon Collection” patterns.
